Orchestra Programs
South Pasadena Strings Program offers orchestra classes at every level. Graduates
of beginning classes are eligible to audition for the
Training Orchestra, and more advanced students can audition for the Elementary Orchestra.
Both ensembles perform numerous concerts throughout the year. The award-winning
South Pasadena Elementary Orchestra competes annually in the SCSBOA
(Southern California Band and Orchestra Association) Festival,
and at the
Music in the Parks Festivals (at Disneyland or other amusement parks.) All students enrolled in the program will have the opportunity to audition for the Spring 2009 performance at New York’s Carnegie Hall.
