Orchestra Programs
South Pasadena Strings Program offers orchestra classes at every level. Graduates of our beginning classes are eligible to audition for the Training Orchestra, and more advanced students (through sixth grade) can audition for the South Pasadena Children's Orchestra. Both ensembles perform numerous concerts throughout the year including Festival in the Parks.
In April of 2009 the Children's Orchestra performed at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York City where they won the highest rating of GOLD.
On August 8, 2009 look for the orchestra on ABC's "Eye on LA", and on January 1, you can find the South Pasadena Strings performing on South Pasadena Rose Bowl float in the 2010 Tournament of Roses Parade.
