Children's Choir Program
The South Pasadena Training Choir and Children's Choir are community-centered choral arts programs, open to all youngsters from kindergarten through 6th grade.
Our mission for these choirs is to nurture our children's love of music, and to develop ensembles which strive for excellence at all skill levels. The study of a quality repertoire hones their vocal skills; participation in rehearsals builds self-discipline and provides a direct experience of the power of teamwork; and in performance, our members have the opportunity to represent themselves and their community with poise, confidence, and musical artistry.
The Training Choir is designed for children pre-K through 1st grade. Your children will learn to sing correctly in this fun, innovative musical adventure. It is a great musical start for our youngest, taught by Rebecca Rasmussen.
The Elementary Vocal Workshops are open to all 2nd-6th graders. With emphasis on performance and movement, learn to sing correctly in a variety of styles. Workshops are taught by Melodee Fernández, who has successfully prepared students for lead roles in school and community musicals.
